Saturday 18th October

The King leaving the museum in early october to go for a period of display at the NRM in York

Pictures of 'Evening Star' in its new home in the museum and 'King George V' before it left to go to the NRM.

The Prairie leaves the museum and Evening Star arrives in early september to take up the Kings place in the station area of the museum, while the King takes the prairie's place at the back.

A few pictures taken of the King and Small Prairie before they both left the museum.

LNER A3 in BR Livery Being Built By One Of The North Wilts Members

One of the members of the North Wilts has a very nice G scale railway in his back garden which I took my Loco to run on it.

Two Newly Built 9Fs were double-heading the train most of the day.

The 'Maisey Family' Simplex has now gone away to be put together, watch this site for further details!

The 14th and 15th July was the Coate Water Miniature Railway's Charity weekend, we were raising money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. I only took photos on the saturday because on the sunday it rained and we only had one regular steam loco which was the Blue Wabash.

On The 19th June, The club decided that we should have a tuesday where no work would be done but members could bring their locos and run round the circuit in the opposite direction to how we normally run.

The View of the Line will shortly be changing! As the line is going to be extended in the coming months. It will now go right round the outside of the garden. This will put an end to people driving off of the end of the track!

A few pictures of the miniature railway that I work on in the STEAM museum in Swindon. (There is a video of this railway that I have put on Youtube)

On the 17th and 18th March 2007 the Swindon and Cricklade Railway held their first ever Diesel Gala featuring quite a qide variety of locos for a line that is only half a mile long!

On A Saturday in March I went out to Coate for a run without the public. The main reason for this was to try out the newly built 5 Inch Goods Wagons, which ran very well. Also to entertain the grandchildren of one of the members. Leander had a good days running until the horn button fell off and then wouldn't go forwards only backwards!

The London Transport Museum Depot in Acton held the London Transport in Miniature weekend on the 3rd and 4th March. Sorry for the lack of detail on the descriptions on the photos, I don't know much about underground trains!

On friday evening I went to Frome for the PPS Steam Models open night I only took three photos because I was too busy talking and running my loco! The green MSS loco is the latest addition to my collection

On the tuesday working party day the railway took a delivery of 2 van loads of old pallets which were then taken to pieces and the wood then sumhow had to be taken from the steaming bay to the store next to the station. To do this we got out the gondola coaches and put 'Fred' on the front we loaded the coaches a few times sucessfully then on about the third trip we loaded the coaches alot more than before, with people sat on top to try and keep all of the wood on and me driving, we set off down the line a few metres until the whole train of three coaches tipped up onto its side with all the wood then thrown onto the ground. Luckily nobody was hurt and the locomotive stayed on the rails. We re-loaded with a smaller load and eventually managed to get all of the wood to the store!
